Jagsharan Singh Mahal

Member of Parliament | Edmonton Southeast

Jagsharan Singh Mahal immigrated to Canada in 2008, embracing a journey of resilience and determination. After working various jobs to support his family, he returned to his legal profession and became a member of the Law Society of Alberta in 2013. Since then, he has practiced in diverse areas of law, including family law, immigration, child welfare, and real estate.

Jagsharan has served as duty counsel with Legal Aid Alberta and as a roster lawyer for the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, consistently championing access to justice for underserved individuals in the community. As a passionate advocate for human rights, he dedicates his free time to volunteering in community organizations and nonprofit initiatives.

As a Member of Parliament for Edmonton Southeast, I am committed to advancing policies that strengthen our communities, uphold Canadian values, and secure our future.

Public Safety

Safe communities require strong leadership. I advocate for sticter laws, effective law enforcement, crime prevention, and policies that protect families and communities, while respecting individual rights and freedoms.

Affordability

I will continue working to ease the financial burden on families and individuals by advocating for zero carbon tax, GST Rebate on eligible hew houses, fisical responsibility, stronger paychecks for the indivuasls. I will be voicing against inflationary government spending, unnecessary bureaucracy, government redtapes and other modes diriving up the inflation and makes living unaffordable.

Alberta: Oil and Gas

Alberta’s energy sector is the backbone of our economy. I stand for responsible development, regulatory clarity, and innovation that protects jobs and strengthens Canada’s global competitiveness. I will keep fighting against anti energy laws like, bill C69, Oil Tanker Bans, etc.
